Mrs. Yvonne Valenzuela, a dedicated professional with extensive experience as a speech-language pathologist assistant and current K-12 Special Education Teacher. She specializes in designing and implementing individual education plans tailored to the specific needs of students with communication disorders. Certified Academic Language Therapist at the Dyslexia Center of Austin since 2023, awaiting commencement of her Master's in Special Education with an Emphasis on Dyslexia and certification in Educational Diagnostician in Fall 2024. Mrs. Valenzuela is committed to advocating for diverse learners and is an invaluable asset to our team.

Yvonne Natalie Valenzuela

Mrs. Yvonne Valenzuela worked as a speech-language pathologist assistant for 10 years. She has developed an understanding of the unique challenges of individuals with communication disorders. Her passion for helping students achieve their full potential led her to transition into the field of education as a current K-12 Special Education Teacher for seven years.

She uses her skills to design and implement individual education plans that cater to the specific needs of each student. She became a Certified Academic Language Therapist at the Dyslexia Center of Austin in 2023. Additionally, Mrs. Valenzuela is waiting to begin her Master's in Special Education with an Emphasis on Dyslexia and a certification in Educational Diagnostician this Fall of 2024, which will enable her to conduct comprehensive assessments of students to identify their strengths and weaknesses.

Dr. Juan (Carlos) Castillo, Psy.D

Carlos Castillo, Psy.D, owner of The Groves, is Valley born and raised. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University. He acquired his Doctoral Degree at the Texas School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University-Dallas. Dr. Castillo has notable experience in psychological and neuropsychological assessments acquired while training at Richland Oaks Counseling Center, a large community based counseling center in the DFW area and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-Dallas. Dr. Castillo utilizes an integrative approach to psychotherapy that combines Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Experiential, Interpersonal and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Dr. Castillo’s interests and experience include working with personality disorders, trauma, anxiety and depression. Additionally, he assists individuals with adjustment issues such as relationship problems, divorce, work problems and general stress.

Dr. Roxanne Edrington is a doctor of Chiropractic (DC), a clinical nutritionist (CCN), Naturopathic Practitioner, Certified in Functional Medicine, and in Applied Kinesiology. She is a healthy lifestyle coach, public speaker, athlete, author, wife, and mother of two.

Dr. Roxanne combines body composition assessment, biological cellular analysis, applied kinesiology, and clinical nutrition into her practice. She assesses and treats disorders of human function occurring at the cellular and sub-cellular levels.
